After a big renovation, the St. Peter’s Church in Leuven (Belgium) is back to its former glory. In an iPad tour based on the famous displayed artworks, such as ‘The Last Supper’ by Dieric Bouts, the hidden stories behind these treasures can be discovered. With the latest mixed reality technology, M Leuven and Studio Louter designed an iPad tour through the past of Leuven from in and around the church. By using AR, a digital layer is laid on top of reality. The past and present are digitally connected. The church is not only a house of prayer but also a hotspot for art and heritage lovers.
