IDA 2024 NOW OPEN -- Early Bird Deadline May 30, 2024
Informed by the fluid forms in local traditions of fishing, Donghai Island Commercial Complex combines dramatic public spaces and remarkable ecological experiences with innovative engineering and formal cohesion. Conceived as the interpretation of a spreading fishing-net, a series of voids is carved to create an urban window connecting the interior with the environment, generating sculptural forms that define its existence. Combines the exoskeleton structure system with the intimacy to the nature, it shows that the comfort of living doesn't have to be compromised to technological advance.
