Entry Description

The new Embassy grows seamlessly out of the by safety provisions dictated perimeter wall which spirals into the middle of the site. The intention to save the prominent trees generated the polygonal geometry of the building. The dyed concrete unifies the enclosing walls and building into an inseparable whole and anchors it firmly with the location. The thick walls tempering the internal climate with their thermal mass allows the building to be operated without air con or heating. Flexible use of the spaces, pv cells and rain and waste water recycling systems compliment the sustainable concept.
