Entry Description

The steam mop is a highly recommended home appliance for cleaning floors with its non-chemical high heat which has a strong sterilizing power. However, the product showed few weaknesses which have limited access to specific spaces and require the high price to purchase and maintain the product. To resolve the observed problems, I developed a modular structure that allows to clean much broader spaces even to the narrow or complicated spaces such as under the table or chairs, and reduces both manufacturing and maintaining costs by eliminating the ball joints between the head and the body.

Bio

As an Industrial Designer, the functional aspect is my fundamental design perspective to enhance humans' behavioral conditions. Under the mission of improving our daily lives, "Mutual Interdependency" is my primary working principle; therefore, I specialized in coordinating a variety of opinions into a proper solution.
