My senior collection at SCAD was inspired by past, present, and future garments worn in outer space. I wanted to translate those details and take inspiration from the
silhouettes and styles to find an intersection of athleisure and couture. I chose luxe brocades and silk fabrics as well as sporty neoprene and mesh fabrics then
applied heavy beading which I developed. I wanted this collection to feel refined but also wearable. Comfort in apparel is very important to me so I made sure
every piece is simple to wear and doesn’t inhibit movement, while maximizing the visual impact.
