SERVE is an appetizer tray that utilizes the thermal mass of granite, and the insulating properties of wood to maintain the temperature of hors d'oeuvres over the course of a social event. Prior to an event, users may place the stone top in an oven or freezer to get it to the ideal temperature. When the event begins, they place the stone back in the wood base, and serve their appetizers knowing that they will stay at the ideal temperature well into the night. Its elegant form offers no hint that each unit is sustainably built entirely of reclaimed construction and demolition material.
