Entry Description

Svalbardi Polar iceberg water is harvested from ancient icebergs freshly calved off glaciers in the remote Svalbard archipelago, 1000kms from the North Pole. The pristine ice produces water so pure it is almost mineral free. The brief was to design a bottle, brand and pack graphics that convey the purity and unique source of the water.

Keeping the graphic elements on the bottle to the minimum enhances the bottle shape and allows the water to evoke stillness and purity. The gentle flaring of the bottle neck is a perfect balanced grip for pouring. A simple coloured band echoes the beautiful blue and green hues found in icebergs and the wooden cap was inspired by local driftwood. An ancient regional accent used on the 'd' in Svalbardi is another clue to its Nordic origins and the addition of a gift tube singles out Svalbardi as a unique purchase.
