Entry Description

The new Centro Direzionale station in Naples transforms a rigid 1970s urban grid into a vibrant, organic space. Inspired by Naples’ history and nature, its glulam vaulted roof evokes a walk through the woods. Part of the city’s “Art, Architecture, Archaeology” vision, the station blends wood, light, and public space to reconnect the artificial with the authentic. It revitalizes a deserted business district, enhancing safety, accessibility, and urban identity through a poetic, multi-level public topography. Sustainable materials and archaeological references celebrate Naples’ past and future.
