FOGO E ÁGUA was built in Bad Orb, a town where salt has traditionally been extracted from brine for centuries. The white geometric shape of the building is inspired by salt crystals. The black steel kitchen is used only for cooking and grilling with fire. The restaurant's door, which is over 3 metres high, is covered with Japanese ‘burnt wood’. The ceiling of the 7-metre-high room is completely covered with oak. In front of the 6-metre-high wall of tropical plants by Patrick Blanc is a room-high fireplace. The two massive copper tanks are 5 metres high.
