Entry Description

Located in the CBD area of Guangzhou, Haixin Bridge integrates into the city context along the curve of the city axis as a vital part of the slow traffic system that conveniently connects the two shores. The half-through curved-girder, cable-stayed bridge spans 198 meters, with a primary arch tilted 10 degrees to the east and standing 56 meters high. The widest girder reaches about 20 meters. Its plan combines three tangent circles, and its elevations comprise parabolic arches that ensure a smooth transition between the skylines of the two banks.
