"The love I earnestly believed in was an illusion, and though we were broken, we were beautiful."
This work captures a time when my sincere love hurt us both and drew us into an illusion, expressing the modern issue of gender conflict. Using contrasting silhouettes and jacquard textiles as a base, I repeatedly used recycled fabrics to depict a strange yet beautiful man and woman who damaged each other. recycled Fabric straps and ruffles symbolize two lovers submerged in the illusion of true love. Floral appliqués represent love’s essential beauty.
