In Yongkang’s alleys, traces of decades-old life remain. Lane 23, or “Game Lane,” once a nostalgic spot, now reflects efforts to revive this cultural space. “Return-to Yongkang” reimagines it with playful colors and patterns that spark memory and energy. Ground art, signs, and custom rounded sans-serif type form a visual “game path” inviting interaction. Despite its history, the district lacked cohesive visuals. This project uses human-centered design to rebuild identity. We created 24 signs, improved sidewalks, and designed 8 posters reflecting Yongkang’s transformation.
