UAC is located in the heart of Beijing's bustling CBD, adjacent to the area's largest urban park, Unity Lake Park. The work is intended to be a quiet place in the midst of the bustle, using a great deal of white space to set off and house the artwork. The building itself focuses on free façade and changes in light and shadow, integrating the indoor space with the outdoor view of the lake. It allows people to enjoy the artwork indoors while experiencing the natural beauty of the changing seasons.
