Rumsey Residence

A dated Toronto home is reimagined as light-filled, warm, and airy. The designer opened the entry hall, added a kitchen island, and removed a wall between the living and dining rooms to suit a young family’s lifestyle. Inspired by Scandinavian design, the space features white oak, travertine, marble, and bespoke finishes. A sculptural fireplace anchors the interior, with cohesive tones, clean-lined cabinetry, and handmade tiles. Subtle textures, brass details, and a preserved stained-glass window add warmth and heritage.
