Entry Description

Madarjoon Hussainia is a spiritually layered building set in Yazd’s dense fabric. Inspired by traditional Hussainias where women watched rituals from above, it features a two-level courtyard crowned by a dome with an oculus. Brick, blue tile, and plaster reflect heritage, while clerestories and skylights provide light and ventilation. Sectional hierarchy, privacy, and symbolism unite in a compact structure rooted in cultural continuity.
