Using a colourful palette and themed zones, the design features irregular bookshelves and desks, playful slides for high shelves, and ambient lighting that visually expands the space. Soft lighting ensures reading comfort, while cosy seating, rest areas, and interactive graffiti walls foster engagement and creativity. The design blends functionality with fun, creating a welcoming environment that encourages students to read, explore, and stay longer.
Cosmo Chuah, founder of LAB TWO DESIGN, is a Penang-based interior designer with over 20 years of experience since 2000. His multidisciplinary work spans residential, commercial, and exhibition design, focusing on narrative, materiality, and spatial context. Recognized in both local and international design awards, Cosmo actively engages in design dialogues across Asia. His work reflects a strong commitment to contextual relevance, creating functional and culturally resonant spaces that contribute to Malaysia’s evolving design identity.
