Entry Description

Suspension of Disbelief unites a greenhouse, market, and composting facility into a self-sustaining cycle of production, consumption, and waste. Set in Red Hook, Brooklyn, the design responds to industrial, public, and natural site edges while addressing climate threats. Elevated above flood zones, it preserves endangered plant life in immersive greenhouse spaces, powered by composting and connected through a public market. The building acts as a time capsule and green vault, blending past, present, and future into a resilient ecological system.
