As REXON's domestic office and exhibition hall, the space featured a traditional floor plan and felt cramped and enclosed before renovation. Therefore, ByoArc completely transformed the original space into an unobstructed, open area by removing all non-load-bearing walls.
The remaining space still needs to accommodate functions such as office work, leisure, reception, and exhibition. Modular design and flexible space division have become the design solution, enabling the space's functions to be dynamically reconfigured at any time according to usage needs.
Founded in Hangzhou by architect Jiang Yuan (UCL, M.Arch, Distinction), ByoArc Studio is an innovative design firm integrating architecture, interior, landscape, and exhibition design.ByoArc takes "nature" as its core design philosophy and focuses on materials and construction. The firm is equipped with the world’s cutting-edge digital design technologies, and has practical experience in fields such as digital construction and robotic arm processing. Meanwhile, it explores cross-border cooperation with diverse fields including art and technology.
