Entry Description

Embroidered Band-Aids is a series of wearable, jewelry-like textile pieces that reimagine the most common healing object — the bandage. Each piece is machine-embroidered on silk organza, and adorned with sequins, beads, or gold thread. Backed with medical-grade silicone scar tape, the Band-Aids are secure, reusable, and designed to be worn directly on the skin as a symbol of both protection and visibility.

The project extends into community “Band-Aid Embellishment” workshops, where participants create their own symbolic healing objects, fostering connection through creativity.
