Symbiosis transforms a former mill in Nederland, CO into a regenerative co-living and recreation campus that addresses affordable housing needs while fostering environmental stewardship. Two interconnected buildings, a co-housing complex and recreational center, are linked across a stream, designed with passive and active climate-responsive systems. The project integrates shared amenities, local materials, adaptive reuse, and compact footprints to support social equity and ecological health. Seasonal spaces shift with use, and a network of trails connects residents to nature.
