The Ravine House embodies biophilic design to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of its residents and instill a sense of harmony between the built environment and its natural surroundings. The architecture is influenced by the scale of the large trees on the property. An internal courtyard garden showcases the changing seasons and allows daylight into the center of the home. The design blurs the threshold between indoors and outdoors. The architecture connects residents to nature through the use of large openings, warm materials and textures, water features, plant wall and daylight.
