Entry Description

Restoration and reinvention of an early Charles Gwathmey home for our founder, who worked in the studio, was both an honor and a challenge. Original materials—cedar, stone, C-channel glass, and rainscreens—are reinterpreted using the same mathematical rigor Charlie employed. Additions like an indoor-outdoor spa and breezeway enhance flow, while green design strategies create net-zero impact. Refined detailing and built-in furniture celebrate Gwathmey’s enduring architectural legacy of precision and care.

Bio

As Principal, I lead with vision and experience to shape sustainable, timeless homes rooted in place. My work blends refined craftsmanship, contextual sensitivity, and high-performance design. I focus on how light, sound, texture, and scent shape experience—natural wood, clay plaster, and non-toxic materials all matter. Each project begins with a deep study of site, climate, and values, and is guided from concept to completion with care, collaboration, and respect for nature.
