Cap Maison is a boutique resort on St. Lucia. We were approached for the redesign of its 49 villas, a mix of 2- and 3-bedroom suites across 22 buildings. We wanted the rooms to exude comfort and romance, so we selected a lighter palette to promote a relaxing atmosphere and evoke a modern Spanish-Mediterranean vibe. We replaced heavy elements with softer woods and lighter furnishings. We added gentle draperies to diffuse the Caribbean sunlight. Carved headboards add elegance, while wallcoverings and patterns infuse an airy and breezy feeling, resulting in a blend of tradition and modernity.
