The A4 Art Galery sits atop Luxehills, offering a bird's-eye view of the suburban neighborhood modeled after Tuscany in 2000s. Its renovation required respect for the existing architecture while reflecting the increasingly community vibrant life. We chose to maximize the use of the existing, shaping the necessary increase in volume with a material that creates a thin, light structure and a sense of line, such as steel plate: we wanted to create a strong contrast and we wanted this difference could be easily read, while providing a neutral and contemporary sensibility both inside and outside.
