Jingdezhen has been regarded as the center of Chinese ceramic craftsmanship. Situated in the core protection area of the Imperial Kiln Site, the Pengjia Alley compound stands as a model of the courtyard-style ceramic workshops that flourished for centuries. Extensive archaeological investigations revealed the significance of the relics both above and below ground. The project aims to restore the listed buildings while also introducing new structures. Through meticulous conservation efforts, it is transformed into a dynamic space and a vibrant hub for living, shopping, and heritage exhibitions.
