Through the renovation, the project creates a new experience for the public in the old building. The newly built black building features a glass curtain for greater transparency, while the old white building has been refurbished externally and internally. Furthermore, the library entrance is reversed 90 degrees on its axis to face the main road to increase its visibility.
Preserving the 50-year-old camphor trees and the existing ecology in the park and following the original planting axis as the cut-off point for the new lobby to keep the forest's integrity.
