The Grand Canal Museum (Eastern Museum of the Capital Museum) revolves around the theme of "city," integrating the historical development of Beijing and the cultural heritage of the Grand Canal. The innovative "Five Ones" thematic exhibition system( from the perspective of a drop of Grand Canal water, following a history timeline, viewing a map of Beijing industry, building a floating warehouse, and a colorful ring corresponding to colored porcelain), creates a space that embodies the characteristics and traditions of Beijing.
