The building’s name, “Zhu Qing Ting,” is homophonic to the Chinese word for “bamboo dragonfly - aligning with the installation art that displays flying dragonflies skimming the surface of the water.
Above the counter hangs custom-made chandeliers with acrylic sculptures of seven origami-like birds. The appearance of the birds flying into the corridor creates a sense of comfort and familiarity upon each return home.
The ultimate goal of this design is to capitalize on the drawbacks of the space and turn them into advantages by forming an artistic field of extended and dynamic depth.
