Entry Description

Sitting at the seashore in the new CBD of Qingdao, a major seaport and commercial center in China, Haitian Center features three multi-functional towers with T2 being the tallest in the city at 369 m. We sought to carry the city’s fond memory of the original Hai -Tian hotel on the same site into our design while creating new forms with the “Rhythm of the Sea” as the project’s design narrative to reflect the movement and energy of ocean waves and to represent Qingdao’s unique coastal character. The project contains two five-star hotels, Class-A office space, Residential, Retail and a museum.
