Entry Description

"Theater of Time: Echoes of the Forgotten" serves as a modular resurrection of Taipei Word's urban voids. This project involves the transformation of the site of a grand cinema into architecture that captures collective memory and creates public space in the form of a lobby tattoo studio, nightclub, and atrium that redefine the barriers of the past and present. The transparent tilted structure entices movement and reveals street stories, transforming ignored cultural terrains to immersive places of community congregation.
