Sustainable packaging design for date products is inspired by Zehdan, a Farsi word meaning "place of life", which evokes an interpretation of putting a date inside a clay sphere to protect it. The design uses clay, recycled shredded papers, and wicker to preserve the freshness and quality of dry dates, nutritious fruit with a long shelf life. The clay acts as a natural insulator and reduces environmental impact. The wicker container is based on southern Iranian handicrafts and can be reused to display the dates the design reflects a vision of sustainability, innovation, and cultural richness.
