Entry Description

The brief was to design a pop-up café for the Sydney festival. My concept is a pop up for a Korean tea café where people can enjoy their chats about their day to day happenings over a cup of tea. As a migrant myself,I was excited to bring my cultural background to the festival. The design was inspired by Hanok,Korean traditional house, and modern aboriginal art's soft and earthy colour palette. It harmoniously came together into the design as a mixture of Korean and Australian culture. As it is a pop-up for a short time, I carefully selected materials that are recycled or sustainably produced.
