Entry Description

Liangxi Library of Wuxi City was built in 2002. The current internal space of the library is relatively passive, with a lack of communication between different levels and no atrium or sunlight.
The renovation strategy is to use Nature friendly design to introduce gardens and sunlight into the library. By setting up a ground garden and a light court, a park system space similar to Chinese gardens is formed, creating a pleasant experience of reading in the library and wandering between books and gardens.The Light Court links various levels of space, allowing readers to have more communication.
