Entry Description

LA-based studio Bells + Whistles reimagined Providence, co-owned by chef Michael Cimarusti with Cristina Echiverri and Donato Poto. Formerly two-star, the restaurant was recently elevated to three Michelin stars following the redesign. The team crafted a multi-sensory experience through minimalism, showcasing the food and service rather than highlighting the room. Subtle nods to sea and sky appear in hand-troweled ombre Venetian plaster evoking ocean depths and a ripple-effect carpet flowing through the space, interrupted by green terrazzo.

Established in 2000, Bells + Whistles is an award-winning, Los Angeles-based design studio that is dedicated to creating quality, hand-made, modern interiors. Working primarily with commercial spaces, our projects have included bars, restaurants, boutiques, entertainment venues and salons. Bells + Whistles is capable of taking on projects of any scale from concept to completion. Our goal is to create amazing interiors that showcase our talents and vision while successfully realizing our clients’ dreams.
