With a total floor area of 9,600㎡, this project repurposes an abandoned hotel facing Cangshan and Erhai into a non-standard commercial space for both tourists and local community. The design preserves the original structure while opening up the floor plan to enhance spatial flexibility. A central staircase is reimagined as a public connector between the main entrance and the hillside neighborhood, shaping an alley-like, walkable experience. Blending architecture with greenery, the project creates a breathable retail space that echoes Dali’s rich natural resources and poetic spirit.
