Entry Description

The task is to design a spatial learning pod at the Language Centre of City University of Hong Kong to give verbal & non-verbal communication trainings for students in view of speech pose, tone, content and pronunciation accuracy.

Inspired by A.I. being “Key” for future, the Pod is made in such plan form. Its futuristic envelope houses A.I. equipment & sound-absorptive materials inside, where individual practice, A.I. analysis & recommendations take place.

As a personalised learning device, the Pod enhances unique educational experiences through personalization and tech-efficiency.

Bio

Inspired and fascinated by the dynamic growth of Asian cities, MAIA | MAI Atelier is a research-oriented design studio, aimed to re-discover new socio-cultural possibilities pivotal to the built environment of future cities.

Awards and Prize

MAIA | MAI Atelier have been widely awarded in recent years and received the Los Angeles IDA awards, the Japan Good Design Award and A&D Trophy Award by Perspective for Best of Institution in Hong Kong & China.
