The project imagines Madison Square Park as a subterranean reflection space, where architecture and landscape converge into a meditative journey. Hidden beneath Manhattan’s streets, the design uncovers a primordial architecture that reconnects visitors with the earth’s rhythms, offering a refuge from the chaos above. Winding pathways lead visitors to cave-like rooms and semi-enclosed courtyards, where tactile stone and filtered light evoke tranquility. The space dissolves the boundary between natural and built environments, providing a sanctuary for introspection and connection with nature.
