Nanaha is a company that introduces “a new form of Japan” to the world from the perspective of “matcha”.The company conveys the spirit of Japanese wabi and sabi, and the Japanese spirit of enjoying change over time, through space and food.For this project, the space was composed of only natural materials that weathered. The benches are made of “old wood and sokuseki” (old wood: reused logs from dismantled Japanese wooden buildings / sokuseki: foundations used to support old wood in traditional Japanese houses), and the timeless design creates a space that will be there even after 100 years.
