It's an exhibition of modern products made of bamboo, a traditional construction material in China. The exhibition space is designed to explore our emotional experience with Hakka round houses through abstract structure.
We created the space with thickly woven Chinese bamboo curtains. With their flexibility, the structure features dynamic stretching and fluidity and exudes a sense of rigidity, which enables a visual and emotional experience beyond description. The carefully designed scale of the structure will make visitors wandering inside feel like being in a traditional Hakka round house.
