Butter Lane
A young couple comprised of a builder starting out his solo career and his wife, an interior curator with her own business approached us to design their new house. The house was to replace their current one, an old barn type structure that had been modified and changed over the years, but lacked light and space for their soon to be growing family. The main house, pulled away from the street is broken up into two volumes that reflect the barn like structures of the past, both in shape and in finish, with wood shingles wrapping the walls and the roof.
