The house is planned to be loosely connected to the common space created by the 4 houses contributing to the site. The interior space is structured like a single room, and is loosely divided by materials and levels to create various places and flexible living spaces that are not restricted by place. The inside and outside of the house are connected step by step by creating intermediate areas, and the strength of this connection can be controlled. Some connections are strong, others weak. The house was designed to allow these to be selected, and to accommodate increasingly diverse lifestyles.
