Gucci Hotel an Eclectic Jungle was completed in collaboration with Luxury Brand Management students proposing a Gucci Hotel. My role was to design the hotel. Their research proposed a multi-functional hotel to expand the Gucci brand as it extends into the hospitality world.
The concept Eclectic Jungle was used to design the public spaces and is based on Gucci’s maximalist style mixing old and new and their wild use of pattern and color. Located in Milan, Italy, the hotel is in the capital of Italian and international fashion. The Gucci hotel will introduce users to Milans fashion culture.
I’ve lived in five different cities within the last five years and each one has shown me how diverse, imperfect, and beautiful our world can be. I have learned that the built environment often tells a city’s story. By using sketching, I've been able to analyze how a place makes me feel in a given moment, how people interact with a space, and how an interior or building interacts with its surroundings. Good design has the power to define an experience by integrating, welcoming, and challenging us often amidst places of uncertainty.
