Architecture Grafting and Re-use of a Ruin: New Identity for Chiesa Diruta
The problem of the church is the repair and reuse caused by the damage of the building structure. The design focuses on the comparison and connection between the texture of the old building and the new structure. At the same time, considering the spatial function, pedestrian flow route and axis line relationship of basilica church and Catholic Church in Italy, the design strategy of protecting and strengthening the old building first, and then placing the new structure and materials into the building is carried out.
