Complex circular geometrical interlacing weaves create this masterpiece, the result of the highest level of construction engineering. The Leonardo’s knots were inspired by the use of flexible twigs of red willows trees, typical of the town of origin of the artist and scientist, to weave baskets or tie the vines.
