Entry Description

The Memorial Hall is to remember Mr. Cai Yuanpei, the prominent educator, politician, and China’s first Education Minister, reputed as “the Leader of modern education” by later generations. It consists of the memorial hall, an exhibition gallery and a square park.
The lighting design creates a low-profile architecture image and a peaceful yet lively public space. The details seem casual but carefully designed, to create a natural atmosphere. It turns the square into an inviting public destination, interiorizes the outdoor environment, and produces a pleasing night view and cozy urban space.
