MSF’s global medical outreach is the major inspiration for structuring this place for the building’s users to collaborate and innovate with a global perspective. This collaborative spirit in design extends to disciplines including research, retail, training, conferencing, and fundraising. I envisaged the design to reverse and blur ideas of indoors and outdoors by centrally introducing the Globe-garden, with the auditorium balancing its massing and form. The project exemplifies a holistic approach integrating the inclusive values of MSF by designing a transparent and open space.
