This project called for a remodel of an existing KFC outlet in Stulang Laut, Johor overlooking the straits of Johor.
The facade perforation and openings were carefully considered to determine the transparency it creates during the day, whilst serving as shading panels for the existing glass panels on the ground floor. At night, it transforms into a stunning red lantern sculpture from afar at night.
Landscaping is used to soften and compliment the bold facade, providing a welcoming experience at eye level as customers approach the restaurant.
