Entry Description

Does fashion have a place in Christian faith? Genesis reveals clothing as the aftermath of man's desire to be independent of God's covering. Evolved from basic theories on the purpose of clothing, fashion, might appear to the individual of faith as appealing only to human carnality (vanity, superficiality, materialism), even celebrating it. Are faith and fashion thus mutually exclusive? Embracing soil-dyed appliqués, handwritten verse prints, and soft hand sculptures, Birth & Burial, is a heartfelt sartorial homage to Christ as the God who took human form to cover man again once and for all.
