"Mountain Church," nestled in Fujian, China, uses light as a spiritual medium to form a belief space in symbiosis with the terrain. Light enters through fissures, skylights, and textured stone, flowing like a stream across organic concrete and local stone volumes, extending the mountain naturally.
It guides ritual movement from darkness to clarity, reflecting the region’s poetic imagery. Precisely framed openings capture dawn and dusk light, merging sacred atmosphere with Eastern contemplation.
