Entry Description

Due to ineffective spatial planning, Afghan refugees have settled in Tehran’s Kan District, seeking shelter in underserved areas. This project proposes restorative landscape solutions to promote equity and inclusion through placemaking. Based on interviews with migrants, it identifies key challenges social inequality, homelessness, stress, and lack of public space and offers context-sensitive, sustainable, and participatory design strategies as a replicable model for inclusive urban transformation.
